Inferiority Complex

I blogged a couple of weeks ago asking the question :What situation have you found yourself in because of feelings of insignificance ?

Today, I'm asking : What top 3 things make you feel insignificant or leave you feeling inferior?

I'll give you mine. And thanks in advance for your help!

1) I didn't finish college. Often leaves me feeling like I have nothing to contribute and I'm sometimes embarrassed to admit it.

2) Body image. I don't struggle with it as much as I used to, but it still can certainly creep up leaving me like I wish I could fade into the wall or like I already have.

3) I often feel like everyone around me knows more about__________(fill in the blank) than I do and that leaves me feeling like I have nothing to contribute. (ties back in a bit to #1, but I'v struggled with those feelings even before college.)

Feel free to leave your comments anonymously and once again-thank you for your honesty and being open!

1) Body image for me as well. Especially now. I cannot lose the baby weight and I am missing a tooth right up front. That really bothers me.

2) My past. Divorces don't sit well with the people I would prefer to hang around but am afraid to be judged.

3)Unsure of myself. Am I fitting in ok? Am I doing this how they want? Am I good enough at this? Always unsure of myself...

Sometimes I fell unheard at my job.
Like everyone else's ideas are better than mine.

My husband takes me for granted and ignores me. It make me feel very inferior .

body image-my husband and I don't have sex anymore because he doesn't like the way I look.

my boy doesn't play sports well and gets made fun of for that, makes me feel like i am not a good mom.

I don't have many friends and that makes me feel like I am not worth much to very many people.

1. I don't have a college degree. I always did ok for myself anyway because I starting working in 1 industry at 19 and just used my experience to climb the corporate ladder... however... I did just top out because of my lack of degree, and people always looked at me differently... and now that I'm married to a lawyer, his friends are always slack-jawed when they find out I didn't go to college. Inferior, and embarrassed.

2. Body image. I struggled with anorexia for years, and while I clearly have escaped starving myself, what I see in the mirror is still jacked.

3. General self-worth. My ex-husband had almost double the affairs than we had years in our marriage... and we were married for 10 1/2 years. Even if you convince your head that it isn't about you, your heart doesn't always catch up. It's hard to feel anything but inferior if you are not enough for your own husband. Even after the divorce, that baggage stayed firmly planted.
