The Hubs and I were having a discussion about a post I wrote, where I referred to Noah's wife as "Mrs. Noah".
He chuckled at that and I did too.
But, it began me thinking about that lady who lived so long ago before me.
Do you realize the Bible never tells us her name?
Never. Not once.
No name for the lady who stood behind and beside her man for years.
Y.E.A.R.S.
Years of mockery, scorn and shunning.
Never once do we read about her telling him to stop. And could he please just lighten up.
Telling him 'NO I AM Not GEttiNG ON THAT. .. WHAT DID YOU CALL IT. . A BOAT??'. (Remember no one even knew what rain was at that point in history)
Made his meals, did his laundry, raised his sons.
And we don't even know her name.
It struck me of all the unsung heroes I know.
Momma's loving their kiddos and their men. Even when it's hard.
Missionary's serving in places we'll never know about to a people, who it seems will never understand.
A pastor in a church of 100 doing everything from counseling, to cleaning the bathrooms.
Maybe you're feeling overworked and under appreciated today.
Like no one even knows you're there.
I can promise you this.
God sees you.
He knows how hard you're working.
And just like Mrs. Noah, he's got a place reserved on the boat just. For. YOU.
Be blessed today friend, rest in the knowledge that your hard work is not going unseen by your creator!
Blessings and Peace,
Angie
